I need info how to append acpi=off to grub 2

Posted 03-11-2010 at 10:42 PM by LNBE

The only Ubuntu distro That would boot up on this Toshiba Satillite L505D-GS6000 is Ubuntu 9.10. I could not even boot the live CD without typing acpi=off after the word splash.

Got it installed it runs stable no problems. Yet when I reboot the comp I have to hit ESC to get to grub. Then E key, my arrows to the word spash and type acpi=off. Last CTRL X. It will boot up and seems to run fine.

So how the heck to I edit boot Grub two? Any help or links would be awesome...
