Today's mind-blowing Mad Computer Science features:
  • An experiment morphing a regular old C style set of functions into a set of C++ templates.
  • We rename a literal parameter type to a template parameter T and voila!
  • This will help demystify the horrible noise in the messy STL templates by making a simple transition from main_1 to main_2, in which errors are pretty easy

Anomalous KVM event: messed up screen colors

Posted Yesterday at 11:01 AM by flshope

This morning when I booted up my primary machine and started Libre Office Calc, which I use for my To-Do List, I saw that all of the colors had been significantly changed. For example, the greens and yellows were almost the same and were almost fluorescent in flavor. All of the colors had a different tint. Most solid lines in the spreadsheet display seemed to have dark shadows. I didn't check any other display applications, like the Image Viewer.

However, these hosts were in our DMZ and...

Posted 04-28-2015 at 05:49 PM by exton (Exton's Blog)

NEWS ABOUT Exton|OS build 150428
A new and much better version of Exton|OS is ready. I have replaced kernel 3.19.0-5-exton with kernel 3.19.0-14-exton. With kernel 3.19.0 there is no real need to use Nvidia proprietary graphic drivers since this kernel has better support for the open-source Nvidia driver Nouveau than any other older kernel. The Mate Desktop is upgraded to version 1.8.1. I have also replaced Ubuntu’s installation program Ubiquity with Exton|OS Installer, which is a clone of...
