For example Acer (Aspire), HP, Samsung, Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, Thinkpad, Fujitsu, Panasonic and Ausus laptops. The Android system is distributed in the form of an ISO file as the rest of my Linux distributions. I.e. you must (as usual) burn the...

Was trying to get a list of systems up on the network. Pingall.sh would not work at all. It was driving me nuts. So I went to another system and it worked.

$ cat pingall.sh
a=""
for i in {1..254}
do
ping 192.168.1.$i -c1 -w1 -v | grep "icmp_seq=1"
done

$ ./pingall.sh
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.623 ms

Non Uniform Memory Architecture is kind of a dry subject for most. Where a bit of code or data sits in processor cache is of little importance to the average user, unless you become interested in things like virtualization (which seeks to maximize the utilization of that cache and slams face first into the issue ) or you're interested in performance testing, in which case squeezing every extra productive cycle out of the hardware becomes a pressing concern. I was looking for a manager to handle a particular issue earlier, and I reached out to him on internal chat to get assistance. He wasn't available. In frustration, I mumbled "That manager is our only hope."

Across from my cubicle I heard someone pipe back in a distinctly Yoda-like voice "No. There is another..." and continued with instructions on locating the hunt group for that team, all while maintaining the Yoda voice.

I love this place.
