Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

My time in Florida is almost over. Less than 9 days left in the sun & fun state. I'll miss the convenience having the golf course so close. I can jump on the # 8 tee just outside my back door. Been fun!
I play with a Tuesday men's group and we choose a course that we want to play near by. I have played Legends several times, which is a Palmer designed course. Really challenging course with beautiful greens that are protected by loads of bunkers that can challenge your sand game....
I was until very recently using mostly google chrome, which I more or less solely (together with chromium; opera and vivaldi so far seem somewhat redundant, albeit not bad, and perhaps not even as redundant as chromium, which is much closer to chrome obviously) periodically cycle with firefox in recent years, abandoning for a while whichever seems sluggishier.
I had Debian testing's default firefox version, whichever it is. But only a few days with the "aurora" (the beta-est...
I have made a new version of ExTiX – The Ultimate Linux System. I call it ExTiX 17.4 LXQt Live DVD. (The previous version was 17.2 from 170320).
ExTiX 17.4 LXQt DVD 64 bit is based on Debian 8.7 Jessie/Debian 9 Stretch and Ubuntu 17.04Zesty Zapus, released 170412. The original system includes the Desktop Environment Unity (Ubuntu). After removing Unity I have installed LXQt 0.11.1. LXQt is the Qt port and the upcoming version of LXDE, the Lightweight Desktop Environment....
