Building expressions lists - 2

Posted Yesterday at 02:46 PM by dogpatch

So, in mid-March I applied the intelligent sorting logic to lump together, and thus identify algebraically equivalent duplicate expressions, and also those expressions which are not (apparently) algebraic equivalents, but appear to produce the exact same solutions. Of these groups of effectively equivalent expressions, my program then eliminated all but the preferred (briefest and 'best-looking') expression. This produced a list of 1315 algebracic expressions, to which I began to refer as my master...

Updated 06-12-2019 at 06:13 AM by GazL

I just read an article over at entitled
"What is a Linux User?"

The author of that piece celebrates the fact that the majority of "linux users" no longer know, or even need to know, what they're doing.

MeX Linux Build 190601 with Cinnamon 4.0, Refracta Snapshot and kernel 5.20-rc2-exton

Posted 06-01-2019 at 10:26 AM by exton (Exton's Blog)

Mex Linux is no longer based on Linux Mint. MeX Build 190601 is based only on Debian and Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (Long Term Support). I have replaced the original kernel with “my” special kernel 5.2.0-rc2-exton. Latest available kernel as of 190601. All packages in MeX Linux have been upgraded to the latest version by 190601. This version of MeX uses Cinnamon 4.0. Linux Mint “Tessa” 19.1 also uses Cinnamon 4.0 as Desktop environment. The very nice icon theme Papirus is installed...

In October 2018, I joined the new team at mintCast podcast, and have been on every episode except #300 since. Having a great time, with a great team.

And in April 2019, I started a new podcast with my fellow mintCast mate, Tony Hughes, called Distrohoppers' Digest.

I tried to raise money to get to Charlotte for SouthEast Linux Fest but such was not to be. I hope I can get there next year. The money raised will be donated to Linux Mint and in the name of...
