1. ExLight is now based on Ubuntu 16.10 (alias Yakkety Yak) and Debian 8.6 Jessie.
2. I have upgraded the Desktop environment Enlightenment (Beauty at your fingertips) to version 0.20.
3. I have replaced kernel 4.6.0-10-exlight with my special kernel 4.8.0-21-exton corresponding’s stable kernel 4.8.

There is more to sed(1) than s///

There are books written about sed(1), a stream editor which can filter and transform streams of text, because it can do a lot more than many suspect. It actually uses a very simple and compact language which, though limited, is concise. I used sed(1) for ages and ages without exploring more of what it can do. It's most often used only with the s/// substitution, but it also has other capabilities.

Previously, I described how to use one computer's RAM as an SSD (OS drive) for another computer. Here, I describe how to use one computer's RAM as SWAP for another computer. Bear in mind that even a RAM disk over gigabit ethernet isn't going to be as fast as a local SSD, but it's still faster and much more responsive than a local spinning hard drive.

This technique of using another computer's RAM as SWAP is a great way to augment RAMboot, as described here:
