John 8:12

I happened to come across this Verse in a devotional a few days ago....

"Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life." John 8:12 NLT

But why is Jesus the light and what is darkness? Wasn't he some great teacher who taught that everyone should live in peace and harmony with one another? Yes...but there's a LOT more. There...

Thinkpad T520 with Debian 7 Wheezy Linux

I downloaded Debian7 stable 64bit lxde iso, from the debian download page https://www.debian.org/CD/http-ftp/ , on a linux pc.
I installed the Debian iso on an usb stick with the program "unetbootin" (pc connected to the internet with a LAN cable).
I booted the pc from the usb and installed a parallel boot Win7 / Debian according that advice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYw3FUnh-CQ
a) I had to install the realtek firmware on the pc in order to make the wifi working...

LFA (Linux for all) version 150225, 64 bit, with Fluxbox as Window Manager and Cairo-Dock as Desktop Interface

About
The system is based on upcoming Ubuntu 15.04, codenamed Vivid Vervet and Debian Jessie (upcoming Debian 8). It's a total rebuild. I.e. nothing is left of the old LFA system.

The system language is ENGLISH.

News about LFA build 150225
Previous version of LFA (build 141120) had four (4) Desktop environments installed. Namely Unity...

It's been a while since I got one of these calls. Somebody with a strong Indian accent, using an English name (Andrew, this time), and claiming to work for Microsoft.
After introductions, this is the conversation:
Andrew: we have reports that your computer has been downloading malicious software.
Me: Oh? That sounds bad.
Andrew: Don't worry, we can fix it.
Me: I hope so.
Then asks if I'm at my computer & is it on. And which browser I use.

BLDC Motor How To

I'm gathering data for running BLDC motor using my Odroid U3 Shield I/O.

First question what is a BLDC motor.

A BLDC motor is a Brushless Direct Current Motor meaning that the electromagnet coils are static but its the magnetic rotor that rotates.

It has many advantages to the motor used in toys and other types, but its complexity arises from the circuitry needed to drive this type of motor.

I have scraped some hard disks and optical drives...
