MeX Linux is now based on Linux Mint. (I.e. Linux Mint 17 – codenamed “Qiana“, released 20140531 and on Ubuntu 14.04 – codenamed “Trusty Tahr“, released 20140417). All packages in MeX Linux have been upgraded to the latest version by 140604. Cairo-Dock has been added. The most important change is that I have replaced the install program Ubiquity with MeX Installer. The installation to hard drive is now so simple that a 10 year old child can do it. MeX Linux is based on Linux Mint. (I.e. Linux Mint 16 - codenamed "Petra", released 20131130 and on Ubuntu 13.10 - codenamed "Saucy Salamander", released 20131017).

ExTiX 14, MeX Linux, LFA (Linux for ALL) and ExLight (among other “exton distributions”) can be installed to a USB stick with UNetbootin. I have now arranged it so that the aforementioned systems can run from RAM (superfast!). You just have to replace on file after the installation is ready. READ THIS:
