Accessing linuxgalaxy.org from the outside world

I was going around in circles in assuming ther 14.1 == 14.2 in terms of kernel netfilter configuration. After poking around the 4 corners of the internet, and some help from IRC ##slackware user dive, I found the culprit. I did set up everything correcty when upgrading to 14.2 EXCEPT one iptables rule for "New not Syn" that had changed, or had been edited sometime in the distant past.
Old Rule, works in 14.1 (?) not 14.2:
    Code:
    iptables -A bad_tcp_packets -p tcp --syn -m state --state NEW -j DROP
    New Rule, works in 14.2:
    Code:
    iptables -A bad_tcp_packets -p tcp -m conntrack --ctstate NEW -m tcp ! --tcp-flags FIN,SYN,RST,ACK SYN -j DROP
Had I used http://www.slackware.com/~alien/efg/ to generate and customize, this rule would have been correct.

linuxgalaxy.org down for cleaning and upgrades.

    @Habitual
    (1) No idea why you bothered to post. (2) No idea why I am bothering to respond.

What part of "hobby server" do you not understand? There is nothing "routine" about this vintage box or my use of it as a learning tool. And yes, cleaning, since I am not in the habit of lying to people. As I said, instead of depending on "the cloud" to host links when I post on LQ, I use my own domains. If you don't trust linuxgalaxy.org then go to koenigcomputers.com which is hosted by a professional organization that does "Routine Maintenance" but never, ever, "cleaning."

No one is forcing you to access my hobby web sites. There are far better resources for Slackware and Linux in general.

I'd never visit a site labeled as needing "cleaning".
Sorry, I suggest the phrase "Routine Maintenance" and leave it at that.

    Good Luck.

We're back up on www.linuxgalaxy.org. Ulog is pitching a fit for some reason in the firewall script. For now, regular firewall logging is running. The site my pop on/off over the next few days as I tweak a few items.

Getting iOS 10.x working with Slackware 14.2

Thank you, it works on iPhone 6, iOS-10.3.2.

I think it's more user-friendly to provide the package, or better to tip Pat to provide this upgrade.

Nuts. The iphone 5c just updated and now longer works. Same iOS as the 6s; same desktop.

So far, iOS 10.3.1 also works with this update, and thunar now lost those funky entries in the original screen shot.
