ABOUT RaspEX Kodi
RaspEX Kodi Build 200210 with LXDE/Kodi Desktops can be downloaded from SourceForge.net for free. The system is made especially for the new Raspberry Pi 4. RaspEX Kodi is based on Debian 10 Buster, Raspbian and Kodi Media Center. In RaspEX Kodi I’ve added the LXDE Desktop with many useful applications such as VLC Media Player and NetworkManager. Makes it easy to configure your wireless network. I’ve also upgraded Kodi to version 18.5 Leia, which makes it possible to include useful addons such as Netflix and Amazon Video. Which I’ve done. Study all included packages in RaspEX Kodi.

Performance
It runs very well on a the new Raspberry Pi 4. I.e. fast and responsive. Especially on the Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB RAM – released June 24, 2019. RaspEX Kodi Build 200210 can also run on Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, Raspberry 3 Model B+ and Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. I’ve included an extra kernel for that. The system will automatically determine which Raspberry Pi you are using and load the correct kernel.

Used kernels
1) 4.19.102-exton-v7l+ (for Rpi4)
2) 4.19.102-raspex-v7+ (for Rpi3 and Rpi2)
The system will automatically determine which Raspberry Pi you are using and load the correct kernel.

SCREENSHOTS
1. Running Kodi
2. The LXDE Desktop logged in as the ordinary user pi
3. Netflix running showing very good video quality
4. YouTube running showing very good video quality
5. Samba connection with a Windows computer

Article 200206 about RaspEX Kodi at 9to5Linux by Marius Nestor (previously at Softpedia.com)

"Arne Exton released today a new stable build of his Debian-based RaspEX Kodi operating system for Raspberry Pi devices with improved support for Raspberry Pi 3 and 3+ boards.

RaspEX Build 200206 replaces the previous Build 191117, which had some keyboard and mouse issues on Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and Model B+ boards that some users reported. To fix the issue, Arne Exton added a separate kernel for these Raspberry Pi boards, including for the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B.

While RaspEX Build 200206 is specifically made for the newer Raspberry Pi 4, thanks to two kernels included the system will be compatible with all Raspberry Pi boards as it will automatically determine the model you’re using the load the appropriate kernel for it.

The included kernels are Linux 4.19.97-exton-v7l+ for Raspberry Pi 4 models and Linux 4.19.97-v7+ for Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, Raspberry 3 Model B+, and Raspberry Pi 2 Model B models.

According to Arne Exton, RaspEX is very responsive and fast on the Raspberry Pi 4 computer, especially on the model with 4GB RAM, but that shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone."

Today (200210) I've uploaded a new version of RaspEX Kodi. Kodi has been upgraded to version 18.5, which is the latest stable version of Kodi. I've also compiled two new kernels.
