ZFS on Linux
I am using an Arch-based distro, Artix, and I've have two installs of it, one is on BTRFS and other is on ZFS.
BTRFS one acts normal. The ZFS install, after I launch X I can not open any X11 app at all, not even a terminal. st(terminal) it shows a real fast open and close. I've ran X as root to test the idea maybe a permission issue but it results in the same issue. |
Have you read the wiki?

Don't do that. startx as user.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xinit https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xorg[/QUOTE] I know not to run it as root, it was a test. The wiki does not contain anything that I seen that helps. I've done ZFS installs, but never had a X11 app issue with zfs |
Found out it was expecting shell to be zsh and at the time I didn't have zsh installed, so it caused this issue
|
I would consider an unresolved dependancy as a bug - especially on Arch. Open a bug report against zfs.
