Which Archbang bootcode for diverse setups? (kbd, grafic)

Hello,
I am starting Archbang with the menue (extlinux multiboot on HDD):

..........
LABEL ArchBang Linux
MENU LABEL ArchBang Linux
LINUX /arch/boot/i686/vmlinuz
INITRD /arch/boot/i686/archiso.img
APPEND archisobasedir=arch archisodevice=/dev/disk/by-uuid/12a06846-af2f-4e91-ba6d-5bdee7378558 quiet
TEXT HELP
keyboard setup tbd
ENDTEXT
...........

a) I would like to have automatically the de-latin1 keyboard.
Is there any boot code for it?
If not, how to make the setup, and how to make it persistent for the next boot?

b) the screen resolution should be set to 1024x768 depth 24 with "nouveau" or "nv" (the nv driver dont boot automatically; it goes to vesa with 1600x1200 which is too much). HowTo?. The grafic is a FX 5200 which runs with nv or nouveau. vesa is not stable.

The Xorg.0.log is attached.

Any help is welcome.

Thanks.

According to your X.log you let ev-dev decide how to setup your HW. the old way with a /etc/X11/xorg.conf still works. By creating this xorg.conf ev-dev gets over-ruled, see xorg site; http://www.x.org/archive/X11R6.8.0/doc/xorg.conf.5.html

/etc/X11/xorg.conf did not work.
First question at all: how to create a persistence with an USB Install = how to save modified system files?
I tried the boot code cow_device=/dev/sda2 but it did not word automatically = I dont know how to save modified system files and make them available for next boot.
Any advice is welcome.
