Ubuntu ever closer to getting the boot.

I have a dual boot with Ubuntu and Arch.

I've used Arch for nearly a week now and although it's package repositories aren't as big as Ubuntu's, It's been just as productive.

Don't get me wrong, Ubuntu is no doubt one of the best distros available. Arch may not be as easy from the outset but it's just oozing with simplicity and configurability.

I haven't booted into Ubuntu once this week. So it seems that I may soon be moving to a single boot system. An Arch Linux system.

Way to go Arch (Judd Vinet)

Was there a question?

Join a few more forums, learn what they are, then come back.

Bye.

That was as usefully as the first post. I really was going to let all of this go, however:

* extrasolar: I've been breathing computer dust longer than most. I've seen too many flame wars in my time.
* Both: This stupid thread all started when I got an email asking me to answer some unanswered posts; being that it's name is "LinuxQuestions", I started going through to find some questions that I could help some noobs gain a little knowledge. I answered a questions and as I was running out of time, I came across this one. You see, this one was listed as an "unanswered".

* B1GfOot: The word "Loser" is relative. Yours maybe, but not mine.

* I have found this forum very useful when looking for "answers" to "questions". Starting the post out with the way this one started was not useful, unless I'm mistaken.

* I will not answer with anything else regarding this post, unless someone actually says something useful. So go ahead and flame away.

What am I missing ...
A poster comes to the Arch forum and posts that he has sucessfully loaded the Arch OS and even though he could boot to Ubuntu he didn't have to, that he liked Arch.
Kind of a plug for Arch linux. No biggie.
I understand it was not a question, but at least he was in the right forum to post about Arch ....

I know this site is called linuxquestions.org but I was under the impression that it was for the discussion of linux too, not just questions. I was hoping to get a conversation going about Arch; and yes I was hoping people might read it an try out Arch. :)

No hard feelings. :)
