Screenshots?

I'm looking into possibly trying out Arch... but I can only find a very few amount of screenshots... there are non on the website that I can find... just a few random "post your screenshots" forums that have people's customized desktops and whatnot.. I'm looking for a nice selection of screenshots for Arch.. including default desktop AND customized desktops...

Anyone know of a good place to look???

ArchLinux doesn't have a default desktop. Arch is meant to be customized the way you want to, so basicly ArchLinux could look like any screenshot of any Linux distribution you can find.

exactly. kde, gnome, xfce4 (seems to be the favorite among archers :D), fluxbox, blackbox, openbox, fvwm, icewm, enlightenment, windowmaker, etc. they're all there, install whatever you want.

cool cool... well how difficult is it to set up really cool looking desktops such as:

:::THE BOTTOM PANELS ON THIS ONE::::
http://easylinuxguide.com/screenshot...esignfinal.jpg

or

:::THE SYSTEM MONITOR ON THIS ONE:::
http://koti.mbnet.fi/shadov/kuvat/arch-180604.png

I really like these... but I don't know how to do it.. I suppose I should probably install and try it before I say that though egh?

I'm not new.. just always looking at new stuff... I'm using Debian Sarge right now.. So I can get around pretty well.. I think I'll try it, and I'll let ya know how it it turns out... Thanks for the links...

If anyone knows tutorials on the things included on the S-shots I posted above.. let me know... BTW.. would archlinux make a decent web server?? I don't want to putiton my laptop yet.. but i do want to try it out.. Is Apache, PHP, MySQL all easy to get and use under Arch??

also, where does the bar with the icons come from.. It looks like the Mac toolbar and I really like it.. is it a seperate application or is it part of a WM or what??

halo14 09-13-2004 12:21 PM

Umm... perhaps I am just *slow* but I don't see anything, nor can I find anything relating to "superkaramba"

halo14 09-14-2004 12:02 PM

nevermind... I found it... thanks for the help... that looks retty cool..

bosewicht 09-22-2004 03:45 AM

the screen shots u posted had more to do with karamba that Arch. arch makes a great webserver and as far as getting packages installed and running...couldn't be easier
