Pulseaudio sudden problems
I have to restart it after every single application, when a second app uses sound then pulseaudio needs to be restarted cause sound stops working. Hitting the microphone hotkey in a steam game causes steam and the games to crash. I already tried unplugging my headset and still the same. I've tried re-installing pulseaudio to.

been using just alsa and it is not as feature rich.

I gather you have used pavucontrol to choose usb headset while you are gaming but its not clear to me what is causing this secondary app to start up?
Are you playing a game then minimise it to start up a second app manually or is it because you are receiving a system sound or cron job etc?
2) Have you copied the etc PA stuff to your home folder?
3) I don't play steam......what key combination is this hotkey?
4) What is the name of Desktop or Window manager?
b) Its possible that the hotkey you are pressing is already allocated to another event, so modifying that hotkey combo might save some angst.
