Pulse audio not working after update [Manjaro]

Im running manjaro and i just recently updated my system but after the update pulseaudio is no longer working.

How would i go about troubleshooting this?

There must be some sort of way to reconfigure pulseaudio to make it detect my sound hardware.

Pulseaudio does not detect your hardware. It is just a layer between ALSA and a player.

Oh.

Well how should i go about getting alsa to detect my HW again?

First you need to figure out whether it is ALSA or pulseaudio failing. Google will give you lots of pointers how to test ALSA.
