how to mount cdroms automatically?

Well the subject says it all. want to know how it is done so that i dont have to manually mount cd's by issuing the command in the terminal.

If you use kde, just go to the services tab of konqueror and look under "storage media" and the cd should be there. USB devices pop up there too. You have to have the "KDED Media Manager" running for this to work (it runs by default).

I have other stuff running that might be needed (hotplug, or hal maybe). Here is my line from rc.conf:
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng hotplug network portmap fam dbus hal )

hal and dbus, I beleive, are what control the automagical mounting.

You can try ivman. There are packages for arch in current repository.

I'm trying to get it works, but I haven't success yet.
