"(EE) Fatal server error: (EE) no screens found(EE)" on startx

After installing Nvidia drivers, I rebooted and ran startx to find an error occurred: https://imgur.com/a/TNl3QDV

I believe it has something to do with my 20-nvidia.conf file, which I am using instead of a xorg.conf file, as recommended by the arch wiki.

My GPU is the GTX 1060 6GB and I have two monitors plugged in, one AOC, which I believe is plugged into display port one and a Phillips monitor which I believe is plugged into HDMI one.

I also created a post on reddit regarding this issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxquesti...ns_foundee_on/

Welcome to LQ!

It would be better for you and better for those here offering help if you would post the details of your actual issue and question here. Some (myself included) choose to not follow links to other sites just to see the question, but probably even more importantly, having everything here in one place makes it useful to others who may land here looking for similar help in the future.

Please review the Site FAQ for guidance in asking well formed questions. Especially visit the link from that page, How to Ask Questions the Smart Way for discussion of things to consider when asking others for help.

Good luck!

Apart from the good information provided by astrogeek, my first question would be, what happens if you DO follow the recommended arch wiki option?
