dvorak, reverse scrolling, change mouse cursor, and installing icecat

How do I permanently get fluxbox to open with dvorak keyboard layout? I have edited xorg.conf according to the archlinux.org guide, but it doesn't work.

How do I get system wide reverse/"natural" scrolling? I have tried the guide on libinput, but it didn't work.

How do I install icecat? This seems to be an issue of using AUR. But when I'm installing via git, makepkg -si stalls at, "s|http://www.gnu.org/software/gnuzilla...IceCat/Help|g;' '{}' ';'" I mean, it dosen't lock up the system I can ctrl+C kill it.

And my mouse cursor is huge. Like it's the kiddie linux cursor set. How do I change this?

xorg.conf:
Code:
Section "InputDevice"

    Identifier "Mouse0"
    Driver	"evdev"
    Option	"Device"	"/dev/input/event16"
    Option	"NaturalScrolling"	"true"

EndSection

Section "InputDevice"

    Identifier "Keyboard0"
    Driver	"evdev"
    Option	"Device"	"/dev/input/event3"
    Option	"xkb_layout"	"us"
    Option	"xkb_variant"	"dvorak"

EndSection

Fixed the input devices. I don't know why the guides insist on 'libinput' when it doesn't work.

Hello hedron,

What steps are you using to install icecat ? AUR packages are usually installed :

- download snapshot
- extract contents of snapshot (which includes PKGBUILD)
- run makepkg from directory where PKGBUILD was extracted. To automatically install as well, use the -i option (which you seem to have)

... is this what you are doing ?

Also, the AUR comments on icecat mention issues in the latest PKGBUILD. Have you taken a look at these and applied any required changes ?

Cheers,

I just used the icecat-bin and that installed fine. Not the latest version, but it works.

Although, now the keyboard mapping seems to have mysteriously failed again. I literally changed nothing, and now it won't work. And the xorg.conf mouse config doesn't work either, but a hackish editing of .Xmodmap fixed it. But getting back to the dvorak layout, it has always worked in TTY, I have no understanding why X just doesn't use that setting as the default? Why even have an xorg.conf if X just ignores everything in it?
