Can't login after install of lxdm--no access to cli
I installed Arch i686 Aug 2011 version. I installed xfce4 and was using lxdm. LXDM is placed in daemons in /etc/rc.conf.
When I get to the login screen and enter password, loopback occurs and asks for password again. I can't get to my desktop, or a command line to correct the issue. (It worked fine on a previous install)
I have Arch installed along with Ubuntu so I am using Ubuntu's grub2 to boot Arch. I've tried various changes to grub, including Single and text, but can't get to a command line.
I've had the same issue with slim on a previous install.
What can I do besides reinstalling Arch?
EDIT: I chrooted from ubuntu and made the necessary changes to boot. But would still like to know other ways to do this.
Thanks
