Booting from USB UEFI issue?
I am having issues booting from UEFI on usb.
Screen is black and nothing. However, I tried booting without UEFI and works. I am new to arch not sure what to do to fix this. I am guessing need to edit the boot configuration. did try adding nomodeset and nothing. |
The device you try to boot on must be bootable in UEFI. Since it boots in legacy, I guess it's not the case.

It's been a very long time since I did it on a native UEFI laptop, so my memory might be spotty. But, if your system BIOS allows UEFI entries to be made available via efibootmgr, you can create a new entry in the UEFI boot table that will point to where you want, namely the USB device.
