Architect Linux (CLI intsaller for Arch)
About the Community:
"This is the community hub for Architect Linux, a user-friendly, powerful, and flexible command-line (CLI) installer for Arch Linux. Originally the 'Evo/Lution' project, Architect is leaner, faster, and more in-line with the 'Arch Way'."

Hi Head on a Stick. Always enjoy your posts on various forums.
Architect is based on the old Arch AIF installer. It is pure Arch, just an installer no GUI etc... I personally recommend people do the "official" Arch install at least once or twice successfully for the experience, however, the old AIF and current Architect is great for fast deployment even on multiple machines etc...
The forum aspect is very good, especially for those newer to Arch as the official Arch Forums can be a bit discouraging for newer people.

Arch and their forums aren't for these people though.

Arch forums aren't for who?
Architect is only an installer, it is pure Arch. So the person is using Arch and can use Arch forums. Only problem is that Arch forums are not the friendliest to some. The Architect Forum is designed for new people as well as advanced, who may or may not have used the Architect installer.

No.
The whole point of the official Arch installation method is that the user becomes very familiar with the configuration of their system and the methods thereof.
Using a third-party script abstracts the whole process and dis-empowers the user by introducing a layer of abstraction and obfuscation.
This will make it much more difficult for the user to troubleshoot any problems that arise.
It also prohibits the user from asking for help on the Arch forums as the user's lack of familiarity with the basic system configuration will quickly be highlighted and the thread *will* be closed if the use of a third-party script is admitted.
For the record, in my experience (2,798 posts and counting) the Arch forums are *very* friendly to n00bs as long as they have the right attitude.

Interesting, it is just a continuation of the old AIF, that Arch used for a long time. It is not a GUI, it is not trying to be a distro, no repos, pure Arch with an installer. Did you not see the post about recommending people to also try a "manual" install? The installer is not for complete noobs to use your term, it is more for intermediate and up. Of course new people can use it.
Your response is also why a forum was created, they can search the Arch forum/wiki, and/or ask on the Architect forum. To disqualify a person from asking a question on the Arch forums, because they used a prior approved installer (AIF), makes no sense and borders on egotistical. Again, reason for a forum that is beginner friendly. LQ is also great for that.
By the way, are you the same Head on a Stick over at Debian and Trisquels forums?

I say again: the Arch forums are beginner friendly, there is just a very low tolerance for help vampires. Arch forum members are expected to abide by the forum etiquette.

Yes
I'm not on the Trisquel forums though, that must be a doppelgänger...
