Archie Live cd

Recently tried archie livecd. Looks good. Ran adsl-setup but adsl-start times out. Lsmod lists sis900(eth0) as unused. ASUS P4S800(mob) has sis900 and integrated 10/100 Mbps LAN controller + VIA VT6103 PHY.
SLW10.1 and FW0.3 both use adsl-setup like archie. And their 'lsmod' show sis900 as used. The only time I got timeout with SLW is when I updated kernel and didnt setup sis900 module? I see no mention of 'via' anything.
I am not on network. But I see Archie comes setup for network. What can be done to fix this? Tried archie user forum. Registered, logged in and wrote message but on "submit" web site crashed on 3 tries. Thanx.
