Just a quick question, please.
There is a game I want to run. This is what it says:
Before compiling, make sure you have the necessary dependencies installed. The game requires Boost, SDL, libcurl, Freetype and Fontconfig. On Debian systems the following packages will satisfy the requirements:
libboost-dev
libboost-filesystem-dev
libboost-system-dev
libboost-thread-dev
libsdl-dev
libcurl4-openssl-dev or libcurl4-gnutls-dev
libfreetype6-dev
libfontconfig-dev
I can guess boost sdl fontconfig and freetype2 are the right packages but I am struggling with libcurl. I found libcurl-gnutls under the AUR but should I use it as it's out-of-date?
True. I found boost sdl and fontconfig quite easily. freetype2 is an educated guess.
It's only libcurl I am struggling with... What package should I install to get this?
Can't believe I missed that. I tried to find it before so I always thought I had to compile from source.
Oh, @ondoho - libfreetype6 is from the document that came with the Knights Game. It listed what to install if using a Debian flavour and I guess that's what Ubuntu calls their freetype2 :-s
@Head_On_A_Stick - Thanks for showing me that AUR. Still can't believe I missed that :-/
