'head -n 1 /proc/asound/card0/codec*' returned a directory, following it lead to:
'$ head -n 1 /proc/asound/card0/codec97#0/ac97#0-0
0-0/0: Analog Devices ADi888'
But it seems that muting both Line Jack Sense and External Amplifier did the trick.
