The best cd burning program out is "k3b" which is a kde based app. k3b is pretty much the standard cd burning app in linux and has an interface similar to nero. It can do cdrw, both writing and erasing. In fact, it can do cdr, cdrw, dvd+r, dvd-r, dvd+rw, and dvd-rw. All the cd burning apps in linux are graphical front ends for "cdrecord", a command line cd burnig utility.

Grouffff...my bad. I forgot to mention: I use Gnome. Well what's the second best cd burning program?
You can use k3b in gnome; many gnomers do so. Some kde libs will be installed along with k3b but it's not like you have to install all of kde to use k3b in gnome.
