systray not visible

I just installed MX and there is no systray. I got a message saying the systray service is not running. How do I fix it? Tks.

oops, my error - it's on the side not the bottom. But that uses space I'd like for programs. Is there a way to put it on the bottom?

Whether or not you have a systray or systray like item depends on the desktop environment. Which one are you using?

if its mx, its xfce.

you can use mx-tweak to put your whole panel on the bottom of the screen. it reorders the panel widgets into a logical order, rather than reversed if you just use the xfce panel settings,b
