MX 18 start menu SOLVED

Just put MX 18 on an old laptop which would never run well, even on Mint, and it runs superbly. The laptop has now been promoted to normal use, I do like making use of old kit.

In the start menu there is "Recently Used" for programs, excellent addition. Is there any way of getting a "Recently Used" for documents? Like KDE.

Thanks.

not in the whisker menu, but I think the Places panel plugin has a "recent documents" function.

https://goodies.xfce.org/projects/pa...-places-plugin

You'll have to right-click on the panel in an empty spot, choose Panel, then Add New Items.

Brilliant, thank you, I am now sorted.

Trouble with computers, there as so many tweaks and settings which are useful if you can just find them.

Does not the MX File Manager (Dolphin?) have a Recent Files option in the LH panel?
