Mouse login session issue.

Just started my linux experience a week ago, and i'm really happy of it so far.
On a portable acer aspire VN7-791G with dual boot windows/MX, forced to use an usb rEFInd booter, here's my trouble: at the first conection, the mouse is not recognized at the login of the session manager. Gotta start it again to have it recognized. Weird in'it?

Anyone would have a clue about it?

Also. Did you md5sum check antix iso before installing?

Also. On my chromebook I have no mouse on slim login manager. I don't need it. I just use enter key after typing in user name then type in password again in the next box and hit enter key again. F1 key controlls window manager slection while logging into slim login manager.

I have user login or password to start a session, just a session menu from the recorded ones. Checked the md5sum once for the miror close to me, and on second download didn't checked...

Ok, found the two dmsg.log. But would they be of intrest, since they're the ones of my succesful opening of the session? Looked at them without seein anythin strange apart from some errors about regions conflicts, no handler control... Have to say that i'm not used to look a this kind of text also, eh. :)

Can't show the logs, invalid files for atachments.

But here's the 'inxi' in atached files.

Ok. From your image upload. You are running MX 19 64 bit xfce.

Repos look good to me. < no ppa's >
Computer is fairly new. 2015

On my antiX chromebook here. My mouse is not used in slim login manager. I am not hip on lightdm login manager that mx uses.

Sooooo. Best I can do till someone else weighs in on this thread.

to mx forum threads on lightdm .

Is numlock on?

How did you get the mouse to work?

Johyn 12-08-2019 10:32 AM

Num lock open. BUt as said, i just hit my keyboard everywhere haphazardly, and it triggered the password login, from wich i could log in, enterin my password. But there should be a better key combination to get the login password, no? A bit of a bother to hit my keyboard at each session eh. :)
