Mouse & touchpad not working on installer in antiX 17.4.1
 

Having solved the resolution problem on the previous thread, I now have no functioning mouse or touchpad to allow me to partition the drive or do anything else in the antiX installer.
Any suggestions?

EDIT-1
I decided to change the language option via F2 from US to UK and this time the mouse worked initially.
However, at the next page of the installer the mouse disappeared again.

antiX is normally so straightforward and reliable.

What is going on?

Whilst searching for another suitable lightweight Linux distro for my netbook, I came across this article by Dedoimedo recommending MX Linux:

I have used MX Linux in the past and I liked it a lot.

The MX installation ran smoothly with a fully functioning mouse and so now MX Linux 18.3 resides on my old Samsung N220 netbook.
