I have no problem loading my Android phone, and none has been reported on the Forum. There is a section in the Users Manual on the general procedure you might want to have a look at, section 3.1.1. Here is the main part:
Quote:
• Connect phone, and make sure storage option id is set to MTP.
• Open Thunar. When the upper left pane (Devices) shows your phone’s name (or: Storage), click on it. If you don’t see it, reboot the phone.
• Navigate to the location you are looking for.
• If problems, Android phones can be accessed via a web browser by installing an app from Google’s Play Store such as AirDroid.
Alas, Airdroid wouldn't install on my older Android tablet, so I guess I get to do it the hard way.
Update. Easier than I thought. My USB to micro USB connector had some goo in one end (no idea how it got there). I bought another one and it connected fine
