Tried the Ubuntu method and I am getting some errors.. ** sorry, noob here**

You need to install public keys for any repositories that you add. You seem to be missing these for your Virtualbox, Brave and Opera repositories.
The method of doing this should be listed on the web pages of the relevant software/repository. I would recommend that you take one repository at a time and refer to the relevant website. Start with Virtualbox. How did you add that repository? Which instructions did you follow? |

oh OP did you try to convert Brave by using deb2tgz ? |
I read that wiki article - looks like pay-to-browse is ads. Isn't that sort of counter-intuitive to what the brave browser was created for? I thought it was a privacy type browser with those and other security features other browsers didn't have. Ads are contrary to that, at least in my opinion. Very strange.

You fail to understand how it works. Brave would allow users to opt-in to viewing targeted ads which are now blocked. Ad revenue would be shared among the advertisers, Brave, and the user. The user is not "paying" anything to browse.
