ok, want to use Wine in Amigo...
Ok, I can't seem to have a feasible way to put the PPP part of the (kernel???) or whatever into Amigo. However, on my desktop there a way for me to connect using an .exe program. Is it possible that I can use this and be able to connect throught AMigo and get Amigo to recognize it???? Thanxs in advance for anyone who helps!

Wine won't help you here I'm afraid.
How do you connect to the internet? Modem? or?
If using dial-up you'll need to run 'pppsetup' or 'ispsetup' in an xterm to setup your connection. Then use ppp-on and ppp-off to connect-disconnect, or the yawmppp DOCKAPP.
If you are using DSL you'll need to run 'netconfig' to setup your IP address.

Also, have a look at the file /etc/sysconfig/amigo and see if your modem is listed there. If so what does it say?
You modem may be a 'winmodem' in which case you may need to install a driver.
You nee to runn 'pppsetup' or ispsetup in an xterm before dialing.
'ispsetup' should be easier and is more likely to work -it sets up for dynamic DNS and IP addressing.

bash-2.05b# /usr/sbin/pppd: This system lacks kernel support for PPP. This could
be because the PPP kernel module could not be loaded, or because PPP was not
included in the kernel configuration. If PPP was included as a module, try
'/sbin/modprobe -v ppp'. If that fails, check that ppp.o exists in
/lib/modules/'uname -r'/net. See README.linux file in the ppp distribution for
more details.
I tried to do the /sbin/modprobe -v ppp and I got this:
modprobe: Can't open dependencies file /lib/modules/2.4.22/modules.dep (No such
file or directory)
What am I to do now?????
One confused newbie here...
