licencing?


I'm assuming that there is nothing proprietary incorporated into Amigo linux and it can be distributed without limits as with regular GNU type programs, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Can redistribute it? I could find no explicite statements about this on the website.

Yes all of Amigo-1.0 and Amigo-2.0 is GPL. What do you have in mind? I'm always interested -recently received a magazine-CD with Amigo on it, from a user in India who got his Amigo that way. He also sent his altered version of Amigo, which he apparently distributes informally.
I'd very much appreciate being notified of whatever you do, and if possible have a copy if it's a physical re-distribution.

I'm thinking of possibly distributing version 2 with a few scientific extras. I'll keep you posted if it advances beyond planning.
