Question Java (JRE 1.5.0_02) - Symbolic Link Problem

Hi Guys

Can't seem to get the symbolic link done right (the install went smooth, installed everything to the suggested directory /usr/local/jre1.5.0_02/plugin/i386/ns7 - with the opera directory of /usr/local/opera/plugins) - but all I get is an error icon. The suggested master code is:

Code:
cd <Mozilla>/plugins
ln -s <JRE>/plugin/i386/<ns7 | ns7-gcc29>/libjavaplugin_oji.so .
I go into the opera plugin folder, open an xterm and do this:

Code:
cd /usr/lib/opera/plugins
ln -s /usr/local/jre1.5.0_02/plugin/i386/ns7/opera/libjavaplugin_oji.so .
and get a symbolic link with an error icon?

Help muchly appreciated,

Mike (pacranch)

PS: directions - java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/manual_install_linux.html

PSS: nevermind, the idiots at Sun don't post proper installation instructions for Opera - you install via Multimedia, Java, choose path - so easy

Try the following
Code:
#ln -s /usr/local/jre1.5.0_02/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /path/top/opera/plugins
Use the full paths.
