i have another problem...
See, I have Amigo on a Win 98 computer, I tried to install mozilla from Slackware, and I can't get the tar program to extract everything. Winzip through windows will allow me to extract everything, but where do i put it???
How do I make it boot straight into the GUI, so I can log in from there?
Also how do I delete a user so I can add them again, then give them permission to use the GUI??
Also does IceWM work with Amigo???

To boot to graphical login, edit /etc/inittab and change the line for default runlevel from 3 to 4. Edit /etc/rc.d/rc.4 and comment out the 3 lines for Login.App.
userdel will delete a user, but you'll have to remove or rename the home directory manually.
ICEWM will work fine -you may need some libs. Nice if you report exactly any dependencies.
Were you using 'installpkg' to install mozilla? Just have the downloaded pkg available to Amigo. Running Amigo, browse to the folder where the package is and type 'installpkg mozilla*.tgz' to install.
If you are downloading or sharing files from within windows, it's best not to place them directly inside the /linux folder -just leave them in any other folder and Amigo can read them from there. To fully share files,read-write, it's best to use a separate FAT partition, if possible.

/etc/X11/wdm/Xclients has the list of window managers. Edit that to include other wm's.

Use pkgtool to view the files in the package and find where it may be.

You will need to load some fonts if you want to have any text in Icewm on Amigo. I loaded several but I believe the one that did the trick for me was the 100 dpi font.
Now if I could just get ppp to work.

Ok, my whole problem was the fact that i was looking at the folder through win 98. Looking at it from Amigo changed it alot. I am trying to get the Windowmaker desktop to load instead of the crappy desktop.

ok, that now works, but i would like to create a basic user for me to use without root permissions so i don't accidentally break something , but the login won't let login under thenew id. I even tried setting that users permisiins as o=u-w in the permissions box.
