I can't get sound....
I think this was asked b efore, but at the time i was trying to get XMMS installed. Well now i've got it installed, but i can't play anything cause it won't work...
I think someone said something about Alsa Drivers??

it showed a row of titles, like there was supposed to be some values, but there weren't any.

and to make it worse, I can't mount my DVD drive with an audio CD in it! it anything with data on it, but not with audio!!! what's up with that??

i'm gonna run dmesg and see if it is detecing my sound card in the first place, because it might not be...

ok, it's detecting my sound card, and i installed the drivers, but they need to run in my startup script. How do i add the file into my script?

If you need to load kernel modules during startup, look in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules for it first and uncomment the line there, or add one.
If you need to run other commands during boot-up, put them in /etc/rc.d/rc.local.
Should be an example or two there.
rc.local is the last thing that runs before login, so anything you do there is less likely to interfere with normal boot-up.

okay, i got the sound to work, one of the files that goes with all the other driver file files was put into a folder in the sound driver folder. I moved it into the sound driver folder and it works.
