Question help!-No init found

Hello

I'm try to get amigo to run via boot disk, but I keep getting the "Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel." messege. Ok, heres some info that might be usefull to solve my problem: I extracted the amigo zip file with Alzip to my windows directory on my fat32 hd. On the boot line comand I use the defult since I pretty shure that that is the partion that I unzip it to. And heres my system specs I'm runing windows95, the prossesor is a pentium 2 at 266mhz, and I have 32mb of ram and my hard disk has about 6gb of memory on it and has 2gb free.

I would really apreciat it if someone could help me.
Thanks!

ps. please ignore the typos .

Which boot disk are you using?
Is your FAT the C:\ drive under windows?

I'm using the amigo2rc10.img boot disk.
And no it's the FAT32 drive that has windows on it.

I was just wondering, do I have to also use the slackware rescue disk to initalize it properly?

Windows is not on C:\ ?
Either way, linux is more specific about which drive gets booted. If you are just pressing <ENTER> at the boot: prompt, then the bootdisk is trying to boot and mount /dev/hda1 as the rootfilesystem. If you need to mount root on another partition, then give the options as per the instructions in the bootdisk Welcome. Be sure to mount it as 'RW'

On my computer linux is under the directory C:\windows\linux\ and C:\ is my FAT32 partition and is the primary master drive not the slave drive. So what do you think I should type at the boot: prompt?

The docs will tell you that you have to unzip into the top level:
C:\linux
The kernel looks for this before mounting. Just move your linux folder out of windows into the top level.
Then when you run Amigo, any files or folders outside the \linux directory will be visible and readable from a special directory:
/DOS

It's best not to try to insert files into the \linux folder directly while under windows, unless you need write access to it.

Thank's for the help!

I got linux to run perfectly by moving the folder to c:\.
