Grub
I just installed Amigo but I am unable to bootup. (Dual boot) Just get the following on my screen when I choose "Amigo Linux".
GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB
I think you get the idea. I have Win2K installed as well, and I can still boot into that OS. I have not been able bootup into Amigo at all. I am a newbie so please be patient. If there is a log file I can get for you just guide me there.
Thank you,

When the grub menu is on the screen, there is a key you can press to edit an existing conf before you boot - can you use this and post here what it says for Amigo?

Yes, I installed it on the C: drive which also has my Win2k installed as well.
I'm currently at work right now so I will have to try the suggestion above later.
Thank You

Make sure you are logged in as adminstator and run uninstal.bat, then edit install.bat. look for 2 lines that are 'REM'ed. Remove the REM part and save. run install.bat again.

Thank you for all your help. I was able to go in and remove the two REM"s and bootup into Amigo. I'm still trying to get familiar with the desktop (I've only used mdkKDE before).
I have read all the documentation and unless I missed it, I didn't see anything on setting up a cable modem internet connection. I only saw references for dial up.
Any help would be great!!!
Thanks again

Hey... Yea, removing the two REM's works for me as far as installing GRUB too... Cool...
One question though... I am having a problem getting Amigo to boot because I am using Drive E: not Drive C:
Is there a way to install to Drive E: ?

Hey gnashley :0)
I have Windows installed on the E:\ Drive...
A zip drive with Feather Linux on Drive C:\...
I know that it's strange... But that's the way it's set up.
Drive E:\ is recognized by DOS as C:\ though...
If I use the CFDISK tool I noticed that Windows is on hda2...
I can boot Amigo Linux "The older version without GRUB" as mount root=/dev/hda2 rw...
And Amigo boots up :0)

Run uninstal.bat
Then edit /boot/menu.lst and install.bat and change all occurences of (hd0,0) to (hd0,1). The run install.bat.
You'll need to make the changes in repair.bat and uninstal.bat as well.
BTW, the beta version you are using has been removed from the download area, for the time being.
Which windows are you running?
