Hi !
In Norway (where I live...) we often use ISDN to connect to internet. Linux in general I think has bad support for ISDN.
I want to make a binary ISDN package for install on my Amigo Linux box at home, but I am not sure how to do this.
This is what I have done so far:
Installed Slackware 9.1
modified /etc/rc.d/rc.modules to reflect my ISDN card (cologne chip):
( modprobe isdn )
( modprobe hisax type=35 protocol=2 )
Installed and compiled isdn4k-utils found in second Slack CD in /extra directory (had to deselect some capi-stuff and documentation to get it compiled...)
Installed conf-isdn-account from: manna dot nl
(GREAT tool to setup internet accounts and properties after ISDN is installed)
Amigo Linux is installed on harddisk C: (win98, FAT32).
What I want:
copy working ISDN and configuration files from Slackware 9.1 to Amigo Linux installation.
Do I have to try and fail or can someone give me som tips and hints how to do this? How to check for dependencies? If successful I can make this ISDN package available to others, and even make a HOWTO. Europe in general has a great amount of users connecting to internet with ISDN, so Amigo Linux can get many new European users.
