As far as setting up the server, do it just as in Slackware. You may need to add some packages and configure. Then 'clone' or migrate your Amigo to all the machines you want.
I 'm not sure how to set it up as an internet server, but I'll help you as much as possible. Then, I'll help you with the 'tricks' to reset the hardware detection(if needed) and clone it to other machines.
Which version have you downloaded? You can see this by opening /etc/amigo-version. Or just see /etc/Slackware-version. Use that version number and search the excellent Slackware forum here at LinuxQuestions.org first to see if anyone has done this before.

For desktop icons you could use idesk or something like that, but ROX-Filer will do it for you.
Navigate to /usr/local/apps and right-click on ROX-Filer and choose 'Enable pinboard'. This will turn the dektop over to ROX and put an icon for your /home dir there. You can drag other folders there as well. read the Rox manual for how to tweak fluxbox for use with ROX.
To reset hardware detection drop back to command line(not running X). If you've done anything special in /etc/fstab or /etc/X11/XF86Config, be sure to back them up first. Then run /usr/lib/amigosetup/pristine. This cleans up the files created during hwsetup . Then, either reboot or run /usr/lib/amigosetup/firstrun to repeat hardware detection.

I think Opera comes with it's own fonts.
Abiword is super. You need gtk2, glib2 and glibc, atk, pango, libglade and libaspell to get it going. Help won't work though -apparently needs lots of gnome stuff.
If you have a high resolution monitor, you may need the xfree86-fonts-100dpi pkg also.
