Print to HP P4515 using PCL codes for built-in printer fonts from AIX 5.2
I am using the HP p4515 printer successfully with the HPLJ-4000 driver and PCL queues. However I only see minimal font and pitch options in SMIT.
When I print the PCL font list at the Printer I see about a 100 + or - of different built-in font choices, and their PCL escape codes. I would like to use one of these built-in fonts to print my default text documents, and I think the PCL escape codes need to be entered in AIX somewhere. I think this can be done by modifying the SMIT colon files, but I am unsure how to proceed. Has anyone ever done this or can you point me in the direction of the proper resource. Thanks, jc2it ;) |
Hi
Did you ever get this to work as I am having problems printing to the HP P4515 from aix - it throws an extra page in between each printed page. Does not matter what I do to the font or page settings, basically ignores it. Any help would be great Thanks |
