open ports in an inittab entry

I need to open a secure connection to ports 1022 and 1023 in the startup of the server. I would like to add an inittab entry which will run a file that contains these two commands,
sshd -p 1022
sshd -p 1023
What do I need in the inittab entry to run this file?

Inittab is not the place to start up files or commands for your computer.
You dont need to add additional commands for sshd to listen on port 1022 or 1023.
Configure the sshd server to by default listen on those ports i believe the configuration file you are looking for is : /etc/ssh/sshd_config

change the port option inside there.

Ok i guess i didnt see that the platform was AIX so im not sure if this will work on AIX since i've never used it but i think it should be similiar

Just the same on AIX; though check that you are using OpenSSH. If you are using another SSH (e.g. Tectia, F-Secure) the config file may be something like /etc/ssh2/sshd2_config.

init will restart sshd if it goes down.

starting sshd listening on another port is extremely useful for remotely administered servers.

If the sshd crashed you will be unable to login using sshd.

running an sshd -i from inittab will restart it if the daemon crashes (due to a bug or DOS)
