Mount Your NTFS Shared Folders On AIX/UNIX Serv
Exactly the opposite of Samba : How to mount Your NTFS Shared Folders On AIX sever.
Simple and easy. See here : http://www.astahost.com/mount-ntfs-s...rv-t14261.html |
I wouldn't call this the opposite of Samba. The Samba software has two components; client and server. This is equivalent to Samba client. Whether IBM has Samba on AIX or if they put a different implementation of CIFS/SMB on AIX isn't a big deal. IBM invented SMB. So what? Your revelation is a real nonstarter.

Samba server allows a Windows system to use AIX data.
Symetrically, CIFS client allows a AIX server to use the data on a NTFS Windows machine. Till last month I did not know how to do that : my best solution was installing NFS on the Windows machine, which is not always possible. Quote:
