Can any one help me out with this.
I'm installing aix 5.3 on a model 7044-170 system.

I've upgraded the firmware. And the 32X cdrom firmware.

I've attached a null modem and get the following error message ( I also received the same from grphx console at least once).

try using newer aix 5.3 media.
call IBM cdrom refresh at 800-879-2755, opt2, opt2

Yup a newer CDROM refresh did the trick.
