Angry I'm using a software program on unix that requires the use of a usb dongle.

I'm using a software program on unix that requires the use of a usb dongle. I have inserted the dongle in one of the empty slots on my p5 IBM server but every time i run the software i get please make sure your dongle is properly inserte tty_check. Is there anyone who has setup a USB dongle in AIX 5.2 or software that requires the use of this.

It might help if you named the software...

Plus, unless I am reading this wrong, this is a question about AIX and not Linux; so this isn't the right forum for it anyway.

What 'software' is it?

And since you're using AIX on an IBM server, you're paying for IBM support, and (since you have the dongle), paying for support from whoever you bought this mysterious program from. Contact either/both of them.

It is a software key that allows some program to function.

What software is it?
