How to move a logical volume to another vg

HEllo,

My rootvg is full. There are 2 logical volumes on that vg that have nothing to do there. I would like to move em to my datavg02 volume group. I copied the LV to datavg02 using smit, but now i am at a crossroad. Do i have to copy the file system as well?

Basically this is what i have:

rootvg:
/dev/CATIA516 mounted over /usr/catia516

...

I would like to have this instead:
datavg02:
/dev/CATIA516 mounted over /usr/catia516

thanks

Hi!

The best procedure is:

1. unmount your original file system
2. copy the file system logical volume (cplv command)
3. point the file system to use this new LV (copy) using SMIT or simply editing /etc/filesystem file.

Regards
