I was tasked with updating our HMC with various updates from IBM's site. I put a total of three on, one of which was the upgrade to Release 3 Version 2.6. After these had been applied successfully (the HMC told me it was successful, but it could be wrong), I rebooted the machine.
Some Java errors are spewed on the screen on it's way backup, but X does start. When I get into the HMC console I have a whopping total of TWO different areas to work with -- neither of which allow you to work with the LPARS. Reapplying the updates from the command line doesn't work either. It always complains about the command now matter how you enter it.
As if my day couldn't be off to a better start, I have been unable to locate the install media for the HMC. Does anyone know where I could get my hands on the install media, or an image of it?
An obvious place to look. Been there, searched that, have the dust bunnies to prove it. Our restore media seems to have 'disappeared'. Managed to secure a copy from IBM and we are back in business. At the latest level too.
