Hi All

I maintain AIX servers which are accessed locally using Hummingbird Exceed client Version 5.1. The IP address of the machine once added on exceed client it gets displayed & when double-clicked, it logs you in using login credentials of users.
The new request is being, a set of team members who sits at different location (Seattle, USA) would want to access the AIX servers maintained by me (at India)through Hummingbird Exceed client Version 5.1 installed in their machine. The problem bieing the IP address is not getting listed for them to access though it is getting added. The users are able to access the servers present in India using Telnet protocol successfully.
Any one who has some good knowledge about Hummingbird Exceed client configuration can let me know :
1. Do we need to open specific ports at different location to access AIX servers here at India through Exceed client.
2. When the users are able to access AIX servers using telnet protocol why not using Hummingbird Exceed client ?

Any communities that I can post this questions though this is not the right place ?.

Any help on this request is highly appreciated.

The ports that will need to be open for x11 to work are:
I've never had much luck with X11 over slow connections, I usually run VNCserver on the host machine and access the desktop session with a VNC client. On occasion I use cygwin for x11, since it's free and I like it better than Exceed, but even for local connections I find it easier to use vnc.

Do the other end needs to just open port to enable users to access AIX servers remotely through Exceed On Demand client ?

x11 6000-6063/tcp # X Window System
x11 6000-6063/udp # X Window System

Please confirm. This information has to be passed to our client to take this further.
