compilation errors while building the gcc sources

My AIX 6.1 machine do not have the gcc.
I am trying to install the gcc by building sources in AIX 6.1.

I configured gcc sources successfully but I am getting following errors at compilation

$ make -f Makefile

Makefile", line 195: make: 1254-055 Dependency line needs colon or double colon operator.
"Makefile", line 197: make: 1254-055 Dependency line needs colon or double colon operator.
"Makefile", line 200: make: 1254-055 Dependency line needs colon or double colon operator.
"Makefile", line 241: make: 1254-055 Dependency line needs colon or double colon operator.
make: 1254-058 Fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 2.

Why did i get the above errors ? Please help me to solve this.

ThanQ,
Nagendra

Hi,

Can you paste the 4 lines from the Makefile indicated in the error messages (195,197,200,241)? According to the error you're missing a colon ( or double colon (: in those lines.

Kind regards,

Eric

ThanQ for reply. I got the fix for problem.

Here issue was not at the lines 195,197,200,249.
Above these line some some 'if` case was missing.Because of that i got the errors at these line.

ThanQ,
Nagendra
